THE CHALLENGE
Alongside is a vacant site ( no 2551 Delft ) well suited for an inner city type school. Its acquisition from the Cape Provincial Authority is proving a drawn-out process. However, it is understood that the Provincial Treasurer may well offer the land at an affordable price. Once this has been achieved the task of raising funds will begin in earnest to be followed by the exciting development of the school itself .

The Project Proposal includes architect’s plans by Cooke, Lefevre and Adams. The development costs await the decision on the price of the land and also upon the pace at which the building will proceed. The architect’s estimate is in the range of R 5 000 000. 00.

The running costs over the first two years of development are estimated as R 842 000.
