The Anglican Board of Education
KRANSHOEK owes its origin to the relocation of a group of Griqua people from Kokstad in the days of the apartheid government. The community continues to enjoy a grant from the state in recompense for what it lost in the relocation.

It is a picturesque site but far from Plettenberg Bay when competing there for work. Here too the process of acquiring land is taking time. However, the Bitou ( Plettenberg Bay ) Municipality is in the last stages of making available a substantial site, ( Kranshoek 993 ) to be leased initially at R 500 pm with an option to purchase as soon as building commences. The site could one day accommodate a high school and boarding facility, catering for the wider rural community.

The Steering Committee has a business plan prepared and the process of fund raising is due to begin.
